Spotted this steam train at Dannevirke Railway Station, it was heading up to Hastings. This photo was taken on the 19/10/2010.

NZR's J JA JB (J-claas converted to oil burners) 4-8-2 mountain-type locomotive's were designed in New-Zealand by NZR engineering staff some were built at "North British Locomotive works"in Glasgow the rest built in NZR's own workshops...generally "North British"locomotive's worked in the North Island (all NI JAs were NBLW oil burner's and all NI Js were converted to oil burners) where as NZ built locomotives (all coal fired) worked the South-Island
