Hector Rail 141.003-4

Hector Rail 141.003-4 with an IC-train south of Bodafors, destination Stockholm. Picture taken on May 23 2010. Operator: Veolia.
It was manufactured for ÖBB as Class 1012.003 by Elin Union AG, Austria in 1996. Number built: 3.

The 141's were prototypes intended to run at a top speed of 230 km/h.
But the ÖBB were not satisfied with them and found them too expensive. So they were retired in 2006 and sold to Hector Rail, Sweden in 2007. There they were equipped with new traction motors.
