L&YR Class 5 2-4-2T 1008 (BR 50621)

Photographed at the National Railway Museum, York, on 24 April 2007.
Built at Horwich Works on 28 February 1889 to an Aspinall design for the Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway. 309 of this Class 2P locomotive were built, of which BR inherited 109 in 1948. No. 1008 became LMS no. 10621, and was eventually withdrawn on 30 September 1954.

This was the first locomotive to be completed at the Horwich Works, near Bolton, which had been constructed by the L&YR to succeed the Miles Platting Works in Manchester.

Which side would this loco (50795 in particular) be driven from please?

Most railways in the UK eventually had signals on the left, so their locomotives generally had left hand drive. However there were of course exceptions, and I do't have a positive answer in respect of the L&Y.
