BR Class 47 No.47174 arrives at Godley Junction in July 1981 with an empty MGR from Fiddlers Ferry power station for Yorkshire. The train is on the Cheshire Lines side of the station and this was one of the last trains to use this route as the Woodhead route was about to close. The 47 would come off the train here and a pair of Class 76 electrics would take over.
