Woodhead memory

EM1 later Class 76 locomotive 26055 PROMETHEUS heading a Manchester to Sheffield train out of Guide Bridge in Manchester in 1969.
These services, electrified in the 1950s ran through the Woodhead Tunnel and were withdrawn later that year. The line remained open for freight traffic but closed completely in 1981 and is now part of the Pennine Way.

I maybe should clarify that the Woodhead Line closed beyond Hadfield in 1981. There is still a service to there and Glossop today.
