Darjeeling No. 19 at Launceston 8/9/2009
On her last day of steaming at the Launceston Steam Railway is No. 19 of the Darjeeling Railway.
Built by Sharp Stewart in Glasgow in 1889 she spent 70 years working at Darjeeling before being moved to an American Museum in the 1960's for restoration. In 2002 she was bought by Adrian Shooter, MD of Chiltern railways, to run on his private Beeches Light Railway.
That must be the smallest water tower I've ever seen but it's still in the way!!
By the way LSR is 2' gauge, small but beautiful.
