SJ Class Gp no. 3042 in the Anten shed

Photographed at Anten, (AGJ - Anten-Gräfsnäs Järnväg), Sweden on 5 July 2009. As you can see, it is virtually impossible to get decent photographs of the many engines in this shed, but I have done my best!
3042 was built in 1943 by ASJ at Falun, with the tender from Motala Verkstad.
Originally one of three such narrow gauge locomotives delivered to SJ (Statens Järnvägar - Swedish State Railways). This one was stationed at Växjö to serve the Växjö - Hultsfred andVäxjö - Oskarshamn routes.
It became a museum locomotive at Växsjö in 1972 and was loaned to the AGJ in 1994. The loan expires this year, and in July 2009 the locomotive will be returned to TJF (Tjustbygdens Järnvägsförening) in Småland, southern Sweden.
While it has been at AGJ a great deal of money and time were spent in trying to get this locomotive back into working order, but to no avail, unfortunately.
