You knew I couldn't finish up with a dismal, er, I mean diesel locomotive. Here is another shot of T&P 610. She is leaving Birmingham, Alabama USA on a steam excursion for Southern Rwy in the Spring of 1977. I think I skipped school to get this. Don't tell my kids, but I'm glad I did.

Yeah great Loco. I remember when I skipped school too to see the T&P on the American Freedom Train Coming to Houston, Texas. I was about 12 when I saw it, and man you talk about power on this locomotive running down the track at 60 MPH. Thanks for sharing this photo.

This locomotive was built by the Lima Locomotive Works in 1927. Lima order 1101
