I was driving past this static display at Kadoma Ranch Motel (Kadoma Zimbabwe) with my son (in the pic) when he requested to have a closer look at this retired steam locomotive...unfortunately i am not a fundi in trains therefore i cant give further details beyond this.This pic was taken sometime in Nov 2013

It's a Beyer-Garratt 4-6-4 + 4-6-4. I think this is probably no. 350 (formerly 271) of the former Rhodesian Railway 15th Class, built in 1940 in a batch of 4, with Beyer Peacock works no. 6936.

Its a Garratt - possibly by Beyer-Peacock (UK). Lots of Garratts in Rhodesia (as it was when these were built and entered service). Over to the experts for more detail please !
