Ruston & Hornsby 0-6-0DE 07013

R&H Type LSSE dock shunter awaiting overhaul, photographed at Barrow Hill on 23 April 2013. Built in 1962 (while my father was still working at Rustons in Lincoln as an inspector). Engine: 275 hp Paxman 6RPHL driving AEI traction motors on a final drive gearbox. Designed for use in Southampton Docks, to replace the Southern Region USA class steam locomotives. 07013 eventually went to Dow Chemicals at King's Lynn in 1976.
