ASEA Da Class 1C1 no. 941
Electric locomotive photographed on 21 July 2013 at the Nässjö Railway Museum, central Sweden.
This was the very last of 93 locomotives of this type to be built for Swedish State Railways between 1953 and 1960. These were an improved version of the D Class but with many changes and new motors. Up to 3 of these 1840 kW locomotives could be coupled and driven together.
These, together with the Dm Class, were the last of a long series of Swedish electric locomotives with connecting rods. All subsequent classes have had bogies.
Those Da locomotives that were not scrapped were sold, in the case of this one to Tågkompaniet. It is now owned by Netrail.
