Possibly Bath Road shed at Bristol as the headcode on the loco is 1B which I'm sure was a train to the old Bristol Division of the Western Region.

"Challenger" withdrawn in May '73 (just ten years in service !!)

I think 1019 was the first "Western" to be withdrawn.

Better than some of the steam locos which had only 5 years, one or two even less!

It certainly was one of the first withdrawals however not the first one cut. I visited Swindon March '74 1018 had been cut, I walked into the cab ends 1019 was still intact.
