An interesting and unique locomotive to be found at the Kent and East Sussex Railway is Ford No.1. Built in 1931 by BTH and MetroVick, is was delivered to the vast Ford factory at Dagenham for use on their internal rail system. It was one of a class of 3 that were unique to the UK. On being withdrawn it was presented to the KESR and has subsequently had a major rebuild and overhaul. Not often used on main line passenger use, here it is seen leading a train of antique stock up Tenterden Bank assisted by Class 33 D6570 Ashford on 26th June 2010.
