Correction: built at Doncaster Works in 1960.

By October 2011 this locomotive had been repainted in BR green with red coupling rods and its original number, D2090.

But what is the extension on the right side of the engine for (the extension over the second panel from the cab)? It is not on the original drawings and this is the only engine I have found with this development?
