31108, or D5526, at the Eastleigh Works Centenary Celebrations in 2009.
Class 31's were powered by Brush Type 2 diesel engines.
31108 starred in the 1/11/2010 episode of Eastenders crashing into a car on a level crossing. The crash was filmed on the Nene Valley Railway.

The diesel engines were either:
Mirrlees, Bickerton & Day 12-cylinder JVS12T type of 1, 250 bhp at 850 rpm (as fitted to this locomotive), or
English Electric 12-cylinder 12SV producing 1, 470 bhp.
Transmission was electric, driving through four Brush traction motors with a single reduction gear drive. The maximum tractive effort was 42, 000 lb.
